Delores Browning Cooper Ekberg: Born, reared, and painting in South Dakota, studied art in Belle Fourche High School,
and at Black Hills State University, then took time off to raise her family and work. Now
retired, she takes an occasional
workshop to revitalize her art.
Active in Northern Plains Watercolor Society, and editor of their Newsletter viewable at www.npwatercolors.com - Western Women in the Arts, and SD State Poetry Society, her style is eclectic, because she enjoys a variety of subjects and scenes. Watercolor is her preferred medium, chosen for its versatility and quick drying properties; but she also paints in oils for texture and variety, acrylics and pastels for their fabulous colors. She does her best work while painting away the day playing CDs of Chris Rea or Yanni. You might see other sites selling her work, i.e., www.beautifulrealart.com. She and her husband, Jerry, spend several months of each winter traveling in the South; camper loaded with paints, camera and pets. You may reach her at 605-787-4980, or by writing to P O Box 82, Piedmont, SD 57769 |
